English Language-difficult part

I admit that there are some of English word I can't understand.I am only human but for me this is not an excuse.That's why I study more,reading more books including dictionary because as always been said practice makes perfect.I also consider writing,using English is very difficult for me.It's not easy to begin/start a paragraph,it really takes time to do it because you should make sure that your grammar is correct.I also find difficulties in understanding idiomatic expression.I can also say that reading is also not easy,because in my part there are some words of English I found difficult to read and to understand,and pronounce as well.

The five words new to me

1.ADJUST
In cooking "To Adjust" means to taste during cooking and add seasonings or flavorings, as needed
2BASTE
To brush or spoon food as it cooks with melted fat or the cooking juices from the dish. Basting prevents foods from drying out and adds color and flavor.
3FABRICATION
The butchering, cutting and trimming of meat, poultry, fish and game.
4SMOKE
To expose fresh food to smoke from a wood fire for a prolonged period of time. Traditionally used for preservation purposes, smoking is now a means of giving flavor to food. Smoking tends to dry the food, kills bacteria, deepens color and gives food a smoky flavor. The duration of smoking varies from 20 minutes to several days. The most commonly used woods are beech, oak and chestnut to which aromatic essences are often added. Small home smokers are now available.
5ZEST
To remove the outermost skin layers of citrus fruit using a knife, peeler or zester. When zesting, be careful not to remove the pith, the white layer between the zest and the flesh, which is bitter.

FIVE WORDS

Roux-a cooked mixture of flour and butter.
Concasse-italian term for fresh tomato sauce.
Risotto-dish based on rice,served in many forms.
Veloute-thickened sauce soup made from a chite stock and a roux.
Miso-fermented soybean paste... miso soup..


i choice this five words because as far as i know.This words help for my knowledge and to my self that i don't understand this word so that i research this word to know how important is this....
UNFAMILIAR WORDS RELATED IN HRM COURSE


1.ROTISSEUR-
is a style of roasting where meat is skewered on a spit - a long solid rod used to hold food while it is being cooked over a fire in a fireplace or over a campfire, or roasted in an oven. This method is generally used for cooking large joints of meat or entire animals, such as pigs, turkeys, goats or historically, entire cattle. The rotation cooks the meat evenly in its own juices and allows easy access for continuous basting if
desired.





2.PASTRY-
Pastry is flour mixed with shortening and flavoring ingredients to produce a coherent mass, used for pies and other dishes in North American, European, and Middle Eastern cuisines. Basic additions are , a little salt, and water. Pastry-making, pâtisserie in French, has developed as a special branch of cookery.


3.VINAIGRIERS-Responsible for main vegetable and saladVegetables other than greens may be used in a salad. Common vegetables used in a salad include
cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, spring onions, red onions, avocado, carrots, celery, and radishes. Other ingredients, such as pasta, olive, hard boiled egg, artichoke hearts, heart of palm, roasted red bell peppers, cooked potatoes, rice, sweet corn, green beans, black beans, croutons, cheeses, meat (e.g. bacon, chicken), or fish (e.g. tuna, shrimp), are sometimes added to salads.


4.BONING-If there is a side table or trolley the waiter can use it for deboning items for guests in their presence.

5.BOLOGNAIS-It is a thick meat-and-tomato sauce; properly a bolognaise in french,meaning in a style of bologna.

1.SAUCIER-(sauce station chief) who holds one of the most demanding jobs in the kitchen,responsible for all sauteed items and most sauces.
*The customer like the taste of the sauce,of a steam fish were the saucier prepared.

2.Rondelles-(ron-dellz)disk shaped slices of cylindrical vegetable or fruits.
*The chief cook command his\her assistant to slice the apple into rondelles style.

3.Cleaver-a knife with a large,heavy rectangular blade used for chopping or cutting through bones.
*I saw a man with a cleaver knife chopping the bone of the cow.

4.Potager-(soup station chief)is responsible for soup and stock.
*The new american cuisine looking for one potager posistion.

5.Legumier-(vegetable station chief)responsible for all vegetables and starch items.
*The chief cook got mad because the legumier was absent.

my first month in English.0 is so nice because my teacher is happy,i mean she is always smiling and we are having fun.

My classmates are so very friendly,they were helping me for my study's and im enjoying studying with them.

My teacher is so pretty,mostly when she smile and i thought that she is strict,for me she is one of the good teacher i've meet.

Reaction in blogging


So far i don't have any violent reaction regarding this kind of activity.In fact I'm very thankful that our instructress teach us how to have a blog.At first most of us don't have wide idea how to start in our first post.Its really hard for me to start but with the help of my group mates we successfully submit our first post.I'm enjoying doing our blog,it is my first time in this kind of computer activity,honestly I'm not really good when it comes in computer but in this activity it enhance my knowledge in computer...c:

My first month in EngO I'm very interested in my first day of EngO because i was not expected that there was we called that SRA, reading comprehension that will measure my ability to comprehend, after that we have a short quiz, so i got it above median... My feel w/ my Classmates My classmates there are all good and friendly but sometimes there strict, one day my one classmates and me fight through texting but its ok ...i dont like naa..I think GOd because i have a four friends bonding me and helpful to me.. My feel w/ my Instructress In the first meeting of our class i wonder of my teacher that she is terror or good.But when she came in our room and she began to talk, i feel happy because she is very nice and friendly and she is jamming in the class when she dis cuss.. INSIGHT


In my first month with eng.0 subject,i'm enjoying those several days in doing our activities that our instructress given us.During our first class or meeting,i'm very quitely nervous and a little bit of afraid because of her physical appearance.She looks strict person,who's not easy to be with ,but surprisely im mistaken because knowing her is my pleasure.She's the best instructress so far i ever had.I'm glad knowing maam MARIAN.I know she can teach us well.I'm taking up HRM course because i want to go abroad,this is my stepping stone going outside of our country.And besides i really to cook, i want someday to have my own restaurant or hotel or anything that fit in my course.Talking about my environment will there's no problem,but sometimes i'm disappointed of some students because i observed that some of them are not interested in there studies they only after the allowance of their parents given them.Most of my classmates are friendly but i can't
deny the fact that some of them i don't like because of their attitude...
